LOL! Wow, I remember that from the radio in the 1970s, listening on my dads stereo system and laughing when I first heard it. They use to play EVERYTHING on the radio back then , there was none of this genre crap they have today. If it was a good song or funny or interesting they would play it. They’d play Elton John one minute, then the movie theme song from the Sting or Deliverance then this Napolean XIV song and then Mungo Jerry, it was great.

In 1966, my favorite station was Boss Radio 93 KHJ, which blasted Southern California with Top 40 hits at 50,000 watts. Napoleon XIV's opus was a big hit on the charts and got a lot of airplay--as did tunes like
The Eggplant that Ate Chicago and
Juanita Banana.
