Sorry about your Dad, FRiend. F was my old line, too, to Court St.

The term “from here to Canarsie” (ie., from here to Timbuktu) was from the days when Canarsie was like the end of the earth - the last place a boy like my Dad from the Bronx could go on the NY metro.

Like so many other things, the Bronx has been ruined by welfare.

There were beautiful neighborhoods there; the pictures of what it was like will break your heart. LBJ and his ilk were destroyers of worlds.
