He’s an agnostic but it’s better than atheist.
I believe in God and a specific one, but it doesn’t need to be proved by science or the whole point is missed.
Scientists don’t have to “disprove” something for which there is not scientific model to disprove.
And neither side can prove God’s existence with science or disprove it.
They can make a good case for intelligent design and a creator but that creator can be a sixth grade student in some other place and time and we are his project.
Just saying as absurd as it sounds, there is no means of scientifically proving or disproving a benevolent creator.
That’s what faith is for.
