thiopian Airlines was ahead of its competitors in implementing the simulator to train would-be pilots of the new plane, according to reports. Yared Getachew, co-pilot of Flight 302, had taken a course on another simulator as recently as October, but not one specifically designated for the Max 8, The New York Times reported, citing someone familiar with Ethiopian Airlines.
The source told the Times that Getachew was not due for another training until after the crash.
Flight 302, much like Indonesias Lion Air flight, which crashed in October, likely failed after its automated "anti-stall" system inadvertently pushed the planes nose downward. A cockpit recording indicates that the pilots werent able to fix the problem. U.S. officials are probing why pilot manuals did not address the feature, Reuters reported.

OMG terrible
Your statement about trim adjustment switches is kinda right and kinda wrong.
Specifically in regard to the MCAS cut off, there were two options for MCAS cut off based on the type of MCAS option installed. One option is the switch on the console. The other is to hold the electric trim switch for a moment, which disengages the MCAS for four seconds. The pushing of the trim switch to disengage the MCAS can be repeated until the crew adjusts power, pitch and trim to create a stable flight condition.
Thanks, adds to my growing knowledge beyond the making sure that my tray is stowed and locked before landing.
That’s just unbelievable, and awful. Like someone in the youtube comments says, landing blind into the sun and no CTAF?
Pretty bad huh? He pushed the fireball of a plane all the way down the runway too, the Student Pilot in the 152 died and his instructor was in critical condition last I heard. The pilot of the T28 was 85 and Never saw anything nor was he broadcasting in the blind or listening to the radio because the 152 was!!
Easier to blame Trump....and Boeing.
Here is the Video the Owner of the plane took as he was coming in to land.
That's not the POV in this video. It's from the ground....
