Excellent movie!
Forget the PC remake.
Beautiful, haunting theme music.
The remake had lots of technical sophistication but was still a pale imitation of the original.
The same sort of people represented in the movie brainwashing these men are on campuses all across the nation doing much the same to the youth. And they are getting paid by the parents to do it! There’s a reason why a scumbag like Bill Ayers went into teaching rather than continue making bombs.
Composer David Amram is still alive and turns 90 next year.
NEVER watch remakes made after the “revolution”.
They always have a slant to them. Like the 4,000 Robin Hoods.
I’m 51 but have seen the Errol Flynn one and it is the best.
Thought I heard the remake of “A Star is Born” was very good.
I’ve seen all 3.
I want to see this one too.
I’ve seen Phantom of the Opera four times.
God I hope i’m not gay!!!
My wife would be disappointed :)
Hey, Al Capone cried at the opera :)
A “remake” like the “rewrite” of Clancy’s The Sum of All Fears- for a movie that did NOT allow the plot to be what was written—the antagonists being neo-Nazis instead of the Palestinian terrorists, who with Soviet help import a nuclear weapon using American Indian movement cutouts— to place it in the Super Bowl in Denver. Oh no— the terrorist have to be white neo-Nazis and all the “smart” protagonists be..Leftist blacks, like a C_A director, and the film script promoting the 1947 UN Corpus Separatum (the 2 State Israel partitition, being pushed by the same people who developed the EU— ACTUAL neo-National Socialists and anti-Semites). Another example of Hollywood ‘wagging the dog’ for obamaumao and the New World Order.
The truly terrifying (and at the time the new-Liberal, anti-goldwater pro LBJ leftist bent) part of the original Manchurian— is that the Left/Commie brainwashing targeted the Republican party, to hide their candidate after their planned murder of his rival.
Sort of like McCain working for his Russian torturers to do the bidding of the Clintonista Leftist thugs-and pass around a ‘dossier creative fiction’ in DC and to the FBI (a second route to give the story credibility)- a Left wing real time, deep state, government coup concocted by a loser UK MI-6 Soviet operative (obviously) with script written by Nellie Ohr, Glen Simpson of Fusion GPS and more precisely and earlier Clinton thug Cody Shearer (son of the Parade magazine gossip columnist Lloyd Shearer).
IOW the chi-coms and the oligarch russians are still at it, and still using their friends the ultra Leftist demonrat party.
Interesting— reply number 7 from me, and this one being 8, and the post summmary still shows... 6 replies. Not that there’s anything wrong with that— people can read.

The point-counterpoint is essentially the whole thing.
Beautiful.
Like the 4,000 Robin Hoods.
Two Robin Hood movies of 1991, one had (Edward Branaghan?) as Robin and Uma Thuman as Maid Marian. Look for it if you havent seen it. I thought it excellent.
YES! Patrick Bergin.
Always underappreciated actor that I liked a lot.
the kevin costner one was nauseating with the muslim sidekick.
Thanks for the correct actor’s name. The kevin Costner film was listed as very bad, as in truly horrible, so never seen.
You would have seen morgan freeman with his butt in the air praying and you would have thrown up.
And I didn’t know until the Costner Robin Hood that Robin Hood had a California accent.
