Solving the puzzle under 8 minutes is good, under 6 very good, under 4 excellent and under 2 "you're a pro!"
Those of you looking for an added challenge can try to solve one sentence or even one word at a time, i.e. solve the entire first line, then go to the second line etc.
If you need a little help you can copy the cryptogram and paste it to Hals Helper below:
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper.
Many of you share how much you enjoy doing these in my private reply. For example, racing to solve the puzzle with your spouse.

Solution to our last puzzle:
A CRITIC IS A MAN WHO KNOWS THE WAY BUT CANT DRIVE THE CAR. KENNETH TYNAN
Another puzzle from the Arkansas Gazette . Many of you picked up the first word, A knowing a noun followed that would give you the third word IS. That gave you a pretty good guess on the contraction. Finding two words starting with T figures it to be THE, and from there its ramming speed solving whats left to the end.
Easiest one ever, as fast as I could click.

About 4 minutes— although since I didn’t get the last name, this one kind of counts as a Could Not Solve Without Cheating... Started with the contraction and that gave me the 2nd word. Never heard of her, though. Had to google to get the last name.

That was a grim one and it took 10 minutes. I guess I’m not in sync with grim.
