Obstruction of Justice: How the Deep State Risked National Security to Protect the Democrats (book)
Amazon ^ | 01/29/2019 | Luke Rosiak

Posted on 03/18/2019 8:42:38 AM PDT by gattaca

"Investigative reporter Luke Rosiak is being hailed as “one of the smartest, most diligent reporters in Washington” (TUCKER CARLSON) and “a bulldog” (DANA LOESCH) for uncovering “what is possibly the largest scandal and coverup in the history of the United States House of Representatives” (NEWT GINGRICH).

It’s like something out of a spy novel: In the heat of the 2016 election, an unvetted Pakistani national with a proclivity for blackmail gained access to the computer files of one in five Democrats in the House of Representatives. He and his family lifted data off the House network, stole the identity of an intelligence specialist, and sent congressional electronic equipment to foreign officials. And that was only the beginning.

Rather than protect national security, Congress and the Justice Department schemed to cover up a politically inconvenient hack and an underlying fraud on Capitol Hill involving dozens of Democrats' offices. Evidence disappeared, witnesses were threatened, and the supposed watchdogs in the media turned a blind eye.

Combining tenacious investigative reporting and high-tech investigative techniques, Luke Rosiak began ferreting out the truth, and found himself face to face with the "Deep State," observing how Nancy Pelosi's Democrats manipulated the Department of Justice, the media, and even Republican leadership to sabotage the investigation into what Newt Gingrich calls possibly the biggest congressional scandal in history."

It seems the only thing a lot of members of Congress is interested in is self preservation of the establishment. That is why they have failed the American people for 30+ years. How about DHS round up all illegal aliens and drop them off in front of the US capital building and just tell them to go in and make their selves at home?

It feels like everyone but the left is seeing the true side of illegal immigration huh? Not even do they not know they do but they act like they are getting something good out of it but hide the fact from young people paying taxes that go to those illegals

Circa Sept 2016, the Paki spy operation was full-blown, using then Cong Xavier Becerra’s House Democratic Caucus computers in anomalous ways:
<><> logging on as “system administrators”
<><> changing identities
<><> logging onto Cong Becerra’s server using 17 different user account credentials
<><> some credentials belonged to Democrat House members
<><> the Awans did not work for 9 of the 17 offices to which user accounts belonged.
<><> investigations found “possible storage of sensitive House information” outside the House
<><> Dropbox is installed on two Democratic Caucus computers used by the suspects
<><> user accounts had thousands of files in their Dropbox folder on each computer
<><> Using Dropbox is against House rules because it uploads files offsite.
<><> Wash/Po reported “Based on the file names, some of the information is likely sensitive.”
<><> post-awan clean up discovered many computer set-ups were little more than “thin clients”
<><> computer set-ups were portals to an outside computer.
<><> Awans were using terminal servers from a computer in a different location.
<><>Virtual Private Networks can make a server’s hard drive appear to be local to a computer.
<><> remote sessions remained active for months at a time.
<><> data was always out of the members’ possession
<><> the Awans were using Becerra’s House Democratic Caucus as their central service warehouse.
<><> the Awans collectively logged onto Becerra’s Caucus system 5,735 times, avg 27 per day
<><> other offices were accessed less than 60 times.
<><> the pattern of login activity suggests steps were taken to conceal their activity
<><>aggregating multiple members’ data means all that data was absconded with
<><> L/E said Becerra’s entire Democratic Caucus server physically disappeared while being monitored by L/E.
<><> no scenario exists where the Awan clan’s access was appropriate
<><> House members are not allowed to accept services from people not on their payroll
<><> House employees are not permitted to log in to servers of members for whom they do not work.
<><> House policies are codified by law. (hat tip Luke Rosiak)

The Deep State didn’t “risk” national security, they flat out compromised and, for all intents and purposes, destroyed national security.

NOTE: Cong Becerra was rescued from his mess by then-Cali Gov Jerry Brown who made Becerra California Attorney General.

When Becerra left Congress to take the Cali AG job, Becerra made sure his DC staff came with him.....
(to keep an eye on them in case they got the urge "to talk" about the Paki spy operation in the Democrat Caucus).
Becerra's tax-paid staff were kept under his watchful eye.....with bonuses....
just as long as they promised never to go near the DC cocktail circuit. Read on:

As Cali AG, Becerra Issued a Press Release 05-May-2017 listing his old familiar staff, assuring everyone they were accompanying him to his new job:

THE CALI AG OFFICE LINEUP: Xavier Becerra, California Attorney General Sean McCluskie, Chief Deputy Attorney General (was Cong's Becerra's COS) Amanda Renteria, Chief of the Division of Operations Laura Stuber, Senior Special Assistant Attorney General Eleanor Blume, Special Assistant Attorney General Jonathan “Jon” Blazer, Special Assistant Attorney General Melanie Fontes Rainer, Special Assistant Attorney General Kelli Evans, Special Assistant Attorney General David Zonana, Special Assistant Attorney General Alejandro Pérez, Special Assistant to the Attorney General, Office of Federal Affairs Sirat Attapit, Director, Office of Legislative Affairs Bethany Lesser, Communications Director Chris Moyer, Deputy Communications Director Patricia Moscoso, Executive Speechwriter Liz Saldivar, Director of External Affairs

=========================================================

HERE'S A JOB FOR ROSIAK
<><>How many US govt paychecks were the Becerra staff people cashing in the DC Swamp....
<><> Are the staff named above still on US govt payrolls in DC?

(That's an old political trick pols like Becerra love---keeping selected staff on the payroll after they get jobs elsewhere.
They are cashing US govt paychecks long after taxpayers think they've gone.)

AMAZINGLY, HE'S CALI'S TOP LAWMAN. BECERRA WAS EDUCATED IN THE LAW---
BUT BECERRA KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS

As head of the Democratic Caucus, Becerra controlled the server where Pakistan-born IT man Imran Awan, who worked for DNC boss Debbie Wasserman Schultz, stashed the data he lifted from House Democrats on the intelligence and foreign affairs committees. When capitol police requested the data, they got only a fake image. After the scandal broke, Becerra abandoned his seat and Jerry Brown promptly appointed him attorney general of California.

APRIL 2016 THE PAKI SCAM IS UNVEILED---
Alarm bells went off when House computer security officials reported “irregularities” in tech equipment purchases......
Specifically, the theft of hundreds of thousands of dollars in US government property.
The initial evidence pointed to (a) five Paki IT staffers, and, (b) Congressional Democrats that employed them.

BECERRA KNEW NOTHING ABOUT THIS--The Paki scam quickly exploded into:
<><> (A) multiple charges of conspiracy against the United States of America,
<><>(B) double-billing Congress,
<><> (C) placing ghost employees on the govt payroll,
<><> (D) stealing govt issue electronics,
<><> (E) submitting falsified documents,
<><> (F) mortgage scams,
<><>(G) shady wire transfers to Pakistan, and,
<><>(H) Congressional bank fraud.

Democrats hired this bunch to boost their “diversity” credentials....sucking up for votes is never far from their small minds.

"logging onto Cong Becerra’s server using 17 different user account credentials"

Becerra should be in jail for turning over a phony server image to LEO.

Another problem is the Republicans in Congress turned a blind eye to illegal immigration for years for the cheap labor. That’s why I maintain it is both sides of Congress that have failed the American people.

And did Obama keep his word for the wall? I feel like not a lot of people like you said both sides are blind to the problem but sadly how it goes is not all problems can be completely fixed but tried.
