R.I.P Mr.Dale
Great song, great video ... great time to have been a teenager.
LOL Look at those skinny ties. And I’d say the drummer’s ears are at 50% flaps.
All of Dale’s children have been playing his licks, for decades, many of them don’t even know it.
My wife and I were going to her parents house on Easter morning for family breakfast, and we had some time to kill, so we went to see a movie (Pulp Fiction) that had been recommended to us.
We are most certainly going to smoke a turd in Purgatory for seeing that film on Easter morning! (We had no idea what the movie was about!)
We were the only ones in that theater, and when the movie started by playing Misirlou it was blisteringly loud, and I kept looking back towards the camera aperature, thinking someone who started the movie might adjust the volume, but they didn’t.
I ended up getting up and walking out to speak to the manager, but...there was nobody to be seen anywhere. I went back in dejectedly, but...the volume was fine.
I only found out later the filmmaker had deliberately jacked the volume of the intro to make it even more jarring...
Hahahaha...it reminds me of that old joke that says something like:
As you live life, only two things can happen...it will get better, or it can get worse.
If it gets better, you have nothing to worry about. If it gets worse, you only have two things to worry about, you can be healthy or you can get sick.
If you are healthy, you have nothing to worry about. If you get sick, you only have two things to worry about, you will get better or you will die.
If you get better, you have no worries. If you die, you only have two things to worry about: You could go to Heaven, or you could go to Hell.
If you go to Heaven, you have nothing to worry about. If you go to Hell, you will be too busy hanging around with your friends to worry about anything else!
