Great song, great video ... great time to have been a teenager.
My wife and I were going to her parents house on Easter morning for family breakfast, and we had some time to kill, so we went to see a movie (Pulp Fiction) that had been recommended to us.
We are most certainly going to smoke a turd in Purgatory for seeing that film on Easter morning! (We had no idea what the movie was about!)
We were the only ones in that theater, and when the movie started by playing “Misirlou” it was blisteringly loud, and I kept looking back towards the camera aperature, thinking someone who started the movie might adjust the volume, but they didn’t.
I ended up getting up and walking out to speak to the manager, but...there was nobody to be seen anywhere. I went back in dejectedly, but...the volume was fine.
I only found out later the filmmaker had deliberately jacked the volume of the intro to make it even more jarring...
