Our morality used to come from our Judeo-Christian upbringing and heritage. Remove prayer from schools and remove society from respecting the church and it leaves a morality vacuum that liberals were only too happy to fill.
What’s sad is that the church has eschewed their position of authority and replaced it with sensuality in many cases as they are plagued by adultery, homosexuality and pedophilia instead of the fear of God.
The beginning of wisdom is to fear God. There is none of that today.
Just a personal feeling but I’m going to say in the early seventies, maybe 71 or 72.
Don’t forget that while awarding themselves the role of moral arbiters and definers of what’s right and just, they also accuse our side of being judgmental and moralistic, and also of applying “black-and-white” thinking to the problems of life.

It’s my opinion that liberal conscience of the nation began as reaction to the Vietnam War. The left became the anti-war party. Around that time, leftists began their march on academe and locked it up, which means their views were what became canon, and their radicalized students carried their self-righteous condescension into the populace.
Actual liberals who want people to think and reason instead of simply knee-jerk their way though life are a good thing. The fascists who think they are liberals are the problem. The problem is not solid critical thinking skills but rather the lack thereof.
1. Homosexuality is wrong: In both its male and female forms.
2. Trangenderism (spelling?), unless it is resulting from a medically quantified condition is a Mental Illness.

As to when it started happening in the West.....
Perhaps when Christian parents wanted to give their children everything they did not have while they were growing up.
The flaw in that was major: Most of their children were not yet Christians and very easily became corrupted.
Then it became a battle of the Grandparents vs the Parents, with the Parents holding all the Aces. “My way, or you don’t see your grandchildren,” was most likely heard by a great very many Grandparents.
Then those Grandparents passed away and most likely left their monies to their children, who it turned out, were not Christians and were easily enslaved to the World and it’s Fleshly draws.
The Grandchildren, I’m sorry to say, probably didn’t stand a chance. With Non-Christian parents and most likely Non-Christians in their lives there were and are no stable guidelines to hang on to when the storms hit.
Sigh.
I realize that is a VERY broad stroke of the paint brush.
I don’t include the Non-Christians at the beginning of this mess as they have always been among the populations.
Those of us willing to be jeered at and mocked socially need to remember that He who went before us was laughed at and mocked.

It seems to me that if good men and women had put a stop to the lunacy being mainstreamed when it began ramping up in the 60’s and 70’s, bad men and women wouldn’t have the upper hand in every facet of society now.
I suspect they were complacent, or thought the lunatics couldn’t possibly be a threat to the country, that the “fads” would all go away. But that wasn’t the plan. It was a decades-long concerted effort to take traditional America apart. While normal people were working, raising kids, etc., the lunatics were invading the schools, the courts, the government, and the churches. And here we are.
The future of this country is very uncertain, to say the least.
They’ve always been this way. The heart of liberalism is thinking you are smarter, more compassionate, and have better ideas than everyone else. You’re just a better person, doggone it, you can’t help it but that’s just the way it is, so you’re naturally obligated to tell others how to live and give them what they need.
Put on your political glasses. What you’re seeing is an illusion. Democrats or socialist try to leverage every and any issue no matter how small or big the cost for the current or future cost of complications Of this.
For socialists the end justifies The means this is why they have no problem with eventually instituting reeducation camps or notification of the US Constitution purposefully spending money to break us and Keep us in debt to control the proletariat.

Leftist propaganda for gays and transgendereds takes this form and can be hard to resist if one is uninformed. After all, why not treat people with more consideration and make some changes to bathrooms to ease their unhappiness. Most kids have no understanding of the policy issues in gay marriage and the genuine harm that can be done by treating the sexually confused as normal. Opponents are not so much refuted as ignored and ridiculed.
The best approach for opponents is to know the facts and arguments well, be civil, and to urge that fairness requires that opposing arguments be heard and considered.
