Looks like more plea deals in the works for the NXIVM defendants.

First to drop last week was Nancy Salzman.

Today at a hearing, court-watchers are guessing that Allison Mack, Lauren Salzman and Kathy Russel are three more.

That will leave Clare Bronfman and Keith Raniere as the last two defendants standing. And they are in the most legal jeopardy of the cult as it is.

I have mixed feelings about this. Nancy, Lauren and Allison are all about as evil as Clare and Keith. Kathy seems to be an unfortunate participant in the book-cooking, money laundering and tax evasion.

I’d like to see all prosecuted to the full extent. It would be a shame if Nancy, Lauren and Allison get puny plea sentences.

Although it does look like prosecutors have accumulated enough evidence to conduct a whole nother trial on the financial and cyber crimes alone. Maybe they just want to get this first group in the can with felony convictions, and follow on with wider and wider indictments after that?

Where is our FReeQ legal team to comment?
