Two observations:
1) People DRESSED UP to go to the beach!
2) The crowds...EVERYBODY went to the beach!
Must have been nothing on TV that night.

It’d be a few years before FDR would be on the tube talking about the great depression.
I’m citing the great TV historian Joe Biden.

A city with millions of people jammed into close quarters... with no a/c and 90 degrees in the shade. The beach would sound good to me too.

The beach would sound good to me too. No deopderant back then, maybe smell a lot better out doors. They all smoked back then, too.

No instagram, twitter, internet, cell phones, FR..obviously I would be bored out of my brains. If I went back in time and got stuck there, I would create Amazon immediately LOL

A lot of orphans. I bet many were a result of the influenza and diptheria epidemics. My Mom lost a pair of twin sisters to the diptheria epidemic.
