Triple Stooges Face Palm
Not by too much, IMO. At least in this case. That Charger is set up very nicely.
:^)
Well those chase scenes won’t last long. Will Q have invented a new type of battery for that car and will it be able to be recharged in 10 seconds or less, or will it run on solar panels?
Not yet. Next will be a Vegan Bond who spends most of his time at various StarBucks.
Actually Desmond Llewelyn who played Q said in a interview that Timothy Dalton was the closest to what Flemming has in mind for Bond, of course he never saw saw or worked with Craig.
He also said he liked George Lanzenby, and that while he wasn’t a real actor he was good in the role and got some very bad advice which is why he was only in one picture.
You may be right about Dalton at the time. I think Moore, Brosnan, and Dalton could all have been better in many ways, but the scripts and stunts got almost farcical. Dalton skiing down the Swiss alps in a cello case was just too much.
I thought Lazenby only got the one picture because Connery came back, but I am not sure if Connery had an open invite to return, or if they dumped Lazenby and asked Connery to come back.
Lazenby got bad advice on the staying in the role and then he wanted a huge salary increase and the producers let him go. They paid Connery a huge amount of money to come back for the that one film.
Dalton was someone they had been looking at for a long time. They actually wanted him either instead of Lazenby or for the next film, Diamonds are Forever. Dalton at the time was pretty young and I think passed. He got interested again but Moore had been cast. He states he would have done more Bond pictures but after “License to Kill”, there were lawsuits on the rights to the Bond character and there was a long gap, like 5 or 6 years between pictures and Dalton decided not come back and then Brosnan was cast.
Interesting. Thx.
I don’t remember the long wait between Dalton and Brosnan. Seems like they were producing every two years for the longest time. I remember there was a big gap before Craig, but I thought that was to get rights to Casino Royale along with the passing of Albert Broccoli. The new movies haven’t quite kept up with the two year schedule, more like 3 or 4.
I get to look down at all those peons driving the "smart" cars.
What’s next for Bond....maybe a damn BB pistol for his carry piece?
Gee, it sure would be too bad if some bad guy was too shoot that lithium-ion battery or sumtin’ like that...
Bond: “An ejector seat!? You’re joking!” Q: “I never joke about my work 007!” (From ‘Goldfinger’ of course, starring the GREAT Sean Connery, the REAL and only James Bond!)
