Lori Loughlin has just committed career suicide.
Her alleged involvement in the seamy Varsity Blues college admissions criminal scandal has forever tarnished her reputation as the folksy face of Hallmark Channel and its vanilla-sweet TV movie franchises “When Calls the Heart” and “Garage Sale Mystery.”
She’s been a cash cow for the cable network with her top-rated movies, but she’s on notice now. Don’t be shocked when Hallmark Channel casts her aside, dealing a death blow to Loughlin’s career.
Her fall from grace sounds like the plot of a weepy Hallmark Channel movie that no one would believe, but it’s all too real. In her fictional, TV alter-ego universe, Loughlin bounces back, stronger than ever and ready to take on the world.
In reality? That won’t happen.

I suspect this story will be on Hallmark’s fall lineup without her playing the part. Maybe get Miley Cyrus to play the part.
My wife is big on those Hallmark movies.
I’ll watch for the vintage Columbo reruns.
This has Lifetime movie written all over it. Hallmark is too saccharin to touch this.
I told my wife when she surrendered to authorities that the garage sale mystery had been solved.
Just another example of how superficial these Hollywood mannequins are. They are NOT the characters they portray. Don’t believe ANYTHING about them.

I would have sworn he was really one of us.
I’d guess serving time in a federal prison would be her biggest concern right now, not “career suicide”. She and her husband are rich - that’s how they were able to afford the huge bribes needed to get their dim-witted daughters into USC.
She wrecked her career (and her daughter’s, and possinly her husband’s empire with Target)...and for WHAT? It’s not like they got her into Congress. They just got her into a stupid school, and a middling one at that. And crew scholarship or not, she likely would have flunked out soon enough, or had to transfer out. So stupid.
What career?
How many of the 50, or so, folks that were charged are employed by the schools? There’s no way an operation like this happens without help from the inside.
She will be hurt by this. But I hate when Newspapers tell us whether someone else is worthy. The reality is that these people are wrong as much as they are right in their projections. Like a monkey throwing darts. So Aunt Becky may reinvent herself. Her daughters may turn this into a YouTube super career. Who knows, certainly the newspaper doesn’t.
Forget the bribery scandal, Loughlin should be prosecuted for making unwatchable chick flicks.
Columbo is on Thursday nights at 9:00 on the Vision TV channel up here (kind of like our granny channel with Brit shows, Waltons, Highway to Heaven, Murder She Wrote, etc). Believe the Joyce Van Patten episode is on tonight. The Garage Sale Mysteries movies were shot in and around Vancouver, BC.
All she has to do is run for office as a democrat and her crime becomes a career enhancer.
Liberal POS. Already CNN et al are tying Trump into this... amazing.
