In the above link, I posted a story about the device which is patented for the purpose of being able to bring down planes at will. Just saw this POTUS TWEET:

“Airplanes are becoming far too complex to fly. Pilots are no longer needed, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better. Split second decisions are

“....needed, and the complexity creates danger. All of this for great cost yet very little gain. I dont know about you, but I dont want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!”

It sounds to me as though it is possible he is beginning to lay the case for getting those auto pilot devices out of the cockpits of these planes!
The same goes for automobiles and semis.
There’s far too much technology in airplanes and cars and everything, even refrigerators.
Anything with internet capability can be hacked.
I’m going to hate when I can’t find a dumb OLD car to drive.
I do not want anything new.
Maybe next decade.
We atomize the details, and miss the big picture.
Every time.
The President said this. Wow.
I'll make a bet with you that he has pilots wherever he goes, and he won't rely on "technology." Maybe he should focus on getting the getting his criminal FBI and the do-nothing Wray to actually do their jobs and start arresting the criminals? Boy, that will be the day.
