His businessman father is worth an estimated $853 million but Damian Hurleys grandfather is trying to stop him from getting a cent.
The biological grandfather of Elizabeth Hurleys only son is waging a nasty legal battle to stop the teen from inheriting any of the family fortune.
The Austin Powers actress gave birth to her only child, Damian Charles Hurley, in 2002 after a brief fling with US businessman Steve Bing.
Mr Bing has an estimated net worth of $US600 million ($AU853 million), with the bulk of his fortune coming from his grandfather, New York real estate baron Leo S. Bing.
But despite that staggering wealth, the 16-year-olds grandfather, Dr Peter Bing, is now trying to prevent Damian from getting his hands on the multimillion-dollar family trust.
Dr Bing has argued that Damian and his dad have never met, and that the teen isnt eligible to become a Bing heir as he was born out of wedlock.
The legal battle began after another of Mr Bings illegitimate children 20-year-old Kira Kerkorian Bing allegedly claimed she was a beneficiary of the trust and demanded information on it.
In response, Dr Bing filed court papers in Los Angeles County which asked for a judge to deem Ms Kerkorian Bing ineligible.
Thats because the trust, which was established in 1980, would not benefit any person bought out of wedlock unless that person had lived for a substantial period of time as a regular member of the household, according to court documents, The Mirror reports.

Why doesnt his mum give him her share?
The money is Dr. Bing’s, and his to do with as he wishes. Trusts are drafted to be very specific about trustees and beneficiaries for just these circumstances.
Grandpa’s wise to have included that. Kids are/were stupid to disregard it and do as they please. Grandkids should not expect one penny, kids shoudl not expect one penny.
It’s not what family is suppose to be about. sucessive generations just get greedier and more self-entitled mentality that they deserve everythign they want.
“She who must be obeyed.”
I have mixed feelings about these stories. Why should the grandchild have to suffer because his parents are irresponsible? I don’t blame the grandfather one little bit for feeling the way he does but if I had a great deal of money, which I certainly do not, my inclination would be to exclude the son (or daughter) from the trust, and pass his(her) share directly to the grandchild. That might actually have more deterince for this kind of callous, immoral, and irresponsible behavior. DNA testing would prove whether or not the grandchild was his.
The article cites two illegitimate offspring. Cutting off illegitimate offspring can be a reasonable way to protect the financial legacy - because there may be way more potential heirs, and simply claiming such by anyone he slept with will drain their fortune via legal fees.
That’s also a reason to deny all illegitimate offspring - how many does he have?
“Why should the grandchild have to suffer because his parents are irresponsible?”
Because the trust document (apparently) provided for this specific circumstance.
Shes all elbows. I dont want to shake the sheets to find my girl.
