A man was arrested after allegedly beating a 63-year-old man in a wheelchair in Santa Ana on Sunday morning.
The witness said the attacker then fled the scene on foot, leaving the victim bleeding heavily from the head.
Orange County Fire Authority Medics arrived and transported the victim to a local hospital. Police said the victim suffered severe head injuries and “remains in grave condition.”
Santa Ana Police Department Homicide Detectives ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional information to please contact Corporal M. Lemmon at MLemmon@santa-ana.org or 714-245-8340.

Man Pleads Guilty to Beating Wheelchair User Near Santa Ana Eatery

A 34-year-old man pleaded guilty Wednesday and was immediately sentenced to eight years in prison for severely beating a wheelchair-dependent man with cerebral palsy outside a Santa Ana fast-food restaurant.
Vittorio Ronald Froncillo pleaded guilty to attempted murder and admitted sentencing enhancements for inflicting injury on an elder or dependant and causing great bodily injury that led a victim to be comatose or paralyzed, according to court records. As part of the plea bargain, sentencing enhancements for attempted premeditated murder and committing a secondary offense while out on bail were dismissed.
He left the victim paralyzed.
As if the poor guy’s cerebral palsy wasn’t bad enough… he gets assaulted by an arsehole with an Italian name.
I wonder if the arsehole was born no CA or was imported on a student visa? There was a student visa scam out there a while back.
