Political Correctness did NOT exist when I was in school, but the things we said to each other would get anyone today Fired and blackballed for life.

I was in high school way back in the 1990s

LOL

It may seem ‘way back’ to you,
but to me it was just yesterday.

Back in the Eighties, the thinking in the Military is that the televising of the Vietnam war helped to lose it for the US. Now we have the ability to record and broadcast any aspect of our lives so that the multitude can react to it. Perhaps the effect is similar?

People like Lenny Bruce made lots of money and were heroes to a big segment of the population, the left, for daring to say certain evil words that no one else used - but then they were the evil words approved by the left, not the ones the left says no one can use, like N*****........

Did televising and recording the Iraq wars end in losses?
Maybe the difference has more to do with fighting to win.

Being tried in the court of public opinion is a death sentence when the case is written and presented by leftists/commies in the media and the jury is packed with leftists retards.

And there is no presumption of innocence in said court.

I remember when Seinfeld pointed out with his key line “not that there’s anything wrong with that!” that there was indeed something very very wrong with it.

It is particularly ironic that this sanitizing effect the left is propagating through society is *precisely* what those on the left accused the “religious right” of trying to do not more than 20 years ago. Surely most you remember this? The hand-wringing and bitching about the “religious right” trying to push their morals on everyone else was repeated far and wide by the left and their media compatriots. It may have been the subject of the first internet meme.

Oh, but now look at what we have here...the leftists are pushing their brand of morality onto the rest of us. The irony is thick, but those on the left have a strange inability to detect irony. It’s almost as if they were born without the “irony detection” gene.

Did we win?

Uh, no, but money was made from both sides as always.

It just doesn’t pay to talk to people today. Say the minimum, keep it to just the nuts and bolts of doing your work. If forced to small talk, weather, sports, and food are ok topics, as long as you avoid the politics in any of them.

Better to not share anything at all, no opinions, no preferences, nothing personal. At best, some will misinterpret, at worst, they will purposefully spin it to screw you.
