I am Gerald Eastman, The Last (Boeing) Inspector. You can find more about me here and throughout this site.
I have been fighting the Boeing/FAA fraud noted above since January 11th, 2002, when I was explicitly faced with the fact that this fraud was put in place and directed by Boeing Management by my QA supervisor of the time.
My QA supervisor was just the most honest of several corrupt Boeing QA supervisors I had had at that point. QA supervisors at Boeing were the same as similarly corrupt Boeing Manufacturing Management. Both focused on achieving cost and schedule goals to the detriment of minimum quality and safety imperatives.
Important Key Facts to Know:
1. Boeing Commercial Airplanes' (including military derivatives) entire quality assurance system is a fraud.
2. It has been intentionally and illegally subverted by Boeing Management of the highest levels for decades.
3. FAA Management actually ensures the continuance of Boeing's compromised quality assurance system in return for lavish financial favors upon their retirements from the FAA, in direct opposition to their mandated duties...

Interesting read
Nothing but a disgruntled ex-employee, a disgruntled ex-union guy at that. This guy is famous for his “conspiracy” theories.
Union guy that is bitter.
I have no loyalties with Boeing, having worked for them for ten years and did not stay because of personal issues. Nonetheless, I know the certification processes and know many in the FAA, and this guy is a loon.
Opinions may differ.
Yep, disgruntled former employee is what Im smelling also.
Hard to believe this... There have been two recent crashes, but their aircraft have not otherwise been falling out of the sky. And personally, given the choice, I would always prefer a Boeing aircraft over an Airbus or Embraer or any other.
If there were frauds on quality, would not unions have wanted their piece of the action? Isn't it what they do.?
I suspect (but do not know) that this is a union-organized hit.
.
Are Boeing employees drug tested? I was told by someone years ago that employees sat in their vehicles during breaks smoking pot. Do you know anything about that?
Thanks...the truth always surfaces here.
Back in the 1990’s and early 2000’s I traveled internationally for work and the pilots I talked to had a saying, “If it ain’t Boeing, it ain’t going”.
Most posters are correct. I actually worked at Boeing at the same time as this disgruntled employee. Suffered through the lean transitions but quality and doing the right thing were always paramount. If this gentlemen was speaking the truth both commercial and military planes would be falling out of the sky not comprising arguably the safest mode of travel on the planet.
If Boeing’s QA system is that compromised, there would have been a lot more crashes in recent years than there has been. Also, Pilots would have noticed something’s not right with the aircraft they’re flying and would have brought attention to it. I worked at Boeing for a year as a contractor at their Engineering Center (The Crystal Palace) in Everett WA. Boeing was in fact, the best managed company I have ever worked for. So I have a hard time believing what this guy has to say.
The USAF stopped deliveries of the new tanker because of QC issues. Trash, debris and tools found in various places.
And two recent crashes. Of two new planes of the same exact model. The model had an undisclosed stability augmentation system. Pilots in both crashes lost control and the system resisted pilot attempts to overcome it when it malfunctioned. Both crashes were in the 1st 15 minutes of the flight.
It matters not if every other Boeing product is doing great. This bird is not those. They had better get some definitive answers fast.
Heard that rumor. Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, it doesnt matterthey all have this rumor. Yes, drug tested, unannounced.
It is always someone who was told by someone that he heard this happened someplace, and not just drugs, but booze during breaks as well.
Cheers,
This guy is like a majority of line workersunion.
Well stated, sir.
Building an entirely new jet presents challenges that in most cases were unexpected.
May look like a commercial aircraft but that is all it sharesa look.
Completely different entity inside and flight software.
Click bait pure and simple....
If what this hack implies then Boeing planes would be falling from the skies daily
I have flown most of my life even as a child when my father worked for American Airlines and Boeing is still the premier provider of aircraft worldwide
End of story
Boeing has nothing to gain by their planes falling from the sky or being expensive to operate.
I never worked at Boeing, but I have been in Aerospace QA and have experienced FAA “oversight”. The author is probably correct about that - it’s a joke. But the quality of the product is not inspected in by the FAA.
The issue here appears to be Lean Manufacturing - which theory basically removes QA inspections as being non-value-added. Most inspectors are naturally opposed to that, thus the disgruntlement. The processes are supposed to be controlled and engineered to reduce the chance of defects occurring, reducing the need for inspections. With good process control and metrics, you can reduce product inspections because you know that the critical process parameters are where they need to be.
Don’t know if Boeing builds planes by automation or by hand - Lean works better in automated processes where the same thing is being made over and over (like Toyota).
There are a LOT of things that can go wrong and bring down a plane. Neither Boeing nor any other manufacturer wants planes to go down - bad publicity plus enormous liability costs. Dead customers cost way more than live ones. I don’t believe for a minute that Boeing has compromised the quality of its products as described - they just found ways to manufacture with fewer non-value-added inspections, eliminating the author’s role in the company.
Excuse me, but the 737Max was also certified by the European JAA.
