I believe USC is pretty competi. My grandson’s girlfriend just did a tour and loved it. She’s an exceptional student and isn’t sure she’ll get in. It’s also very pricey.

USC has always been know to admit under qualified students who are pedigreed. I knew a guy in high school that barely had a C average...his father’s connections got him into USC. Granted that was more than 30 years ago, but it forever tarnished my impression of the school.
None of it was needed. All they had to do was check one of the boxes for lgbt or skin color. Or write allahu Akhbar 1000 times.
Call me when there is widespread outrage over unqualified minorities being gifted admission, free ride and unearned degrees at prestigious and non prestigious institutions simply because of the color of their skin.

One would think the school would have given her a better dorm room for that bribe. My old dinky little state university had much nicer and larger dorms than that. My room had more closet space, a double desk area, nicer furniture, a full bathroom (suite shared with next door) and didn’t have a chipped door. It’s old section (old as in old when my mother went there in the 40s) had rooms so large many kids put in full living room sets and dirt cheap for the poor kids (go figure).
The Obamas don’t need to bribe Harvard. Having the name Obama is their ticket for admission as was the name Kennedy.
