Poison Ivy League......................
Couldn’t be they were recruiting for black illiterate athletes from the ‘hood, could it? Nah...
No wonder Rick Petrino has been so quietly lately.
Any idea if you can see this live?
Petino is in Greece coaching a team.
Rumors are that it was a pay to play scam.
Pay to play is ubiquitous in colleges/universities. Why do you think they want to know your parents’ income? They want to know whether or not to expect endowment money.
Colleges and universities also have many ways to get ‘gifts’ without paying taxes.
The FBI, going hard after college admissions. F-Troop is a farce.
Chicago, Baltimore, St Louis and half of California is crime riddled. Epstein island was never raided. Hillary was never investigated. Seth Rich’s political murder was never solved. The Pakistani DNC spy ring was never looked at.
And the FBI goes after ...college admissions.
One-and-done has killed college basketball.
This may be the final nail in the coffin.
Yeah, but that doesn’t usually stop his mouth.
Government corruption bloody everywhere and this is how the Feebs spend their time and our money...
It’s safer! College administrators usually don’t shoot at agents!
Exactly. Wake me when the FBI gets active is south Chicago or the Clinton foundation. You know, somewhere where you risk death by homicide.
The University of Texas, Austin, ex president Bill Powers died on Sunday. He’s the bozo who threatened the state legislature if they didn’t get UT out of the Top Ten Percent Ruling, he’d have to shut down Longhorn football. Ooooh! The horrors! TX can’t live without Longhorn football!!!!! Gotta get those minorities and foreign students, don’cha know, whether they play sports or not. $$$$$$$$$$. He lied. It didn’t have anything to do with football but with money.
The Top Ten Percent Ruling (Texas House Bill 588) was created after a law suit was brought against the state due to UT’s discriminating against admitting white law students (Hopwood v Texas). The ruling states that any student who graduated in the top 10% of his/her Texas high school class would have automatic acceptance to any state university. Well, even though this came about because of UT’s shady practices, the law applied to all state universities. But, UT wanted out so it threatened Longhorn football. Yes, silly, but the legislature blinked and dropped UT down to having to accept the top 8% while the rest of Texas still had to accept the full punishment of 10%.
What a waste of time.
Sure, it’s a fraud, but really... a 100,000 aliens a month are crashing our border, being given catch and release with ongoing benefits and a future push for either citizenship of them or their whelps, and we’re worrying about admissions fraud?
The only people affected here are those rich enough to commit the fraud, but not rich enough to buy a building at the college, thus guaranteeing legacy admission. A small segment of the population.
The fraud perpetrated on the public is insignificant compared with the border problem, or even, if the issue is dilution of the value of the degree, that perpetrated by affirmative action admissions.

“I would be mad if I was denied entry...”
Me, too.
What I was getting at was that the wife had FOX on and this was a major news conference, with multiple attorneys. I was trying to place it on the scale of constant outrages in our life, and I think that while this should be attended to, it’s more of a publicity grabber than bigger things which are ignored.
Why? It appeals to class jealousy, which sells eyeballs on the news.
