“computer cannot be overridden”

really? that seems like a really bad idea.

Why have pilots? Worse, why have co-pilots? I though the idea was to have multiple levels of redundancy, people vs. computer and a human backup to the human.

Hearing that other pilots have had problems but were able to correct implies there’s something very wrong here.

The recent crash was probably more difficult to avoid given the airport was at high latitude leaving little room deal with the issue, assuming it was mechanical/plane system.

Not being able to override is a fatal idea!

The problem is that the designers do not trust the pilot to override their design philosophy.

Flying is not dangerous, it is just terribly unforgiving of careless mistakes.
