Even if they were on the clock, this is the type thing that build good will between cops and the people they serve. Your Mister Potter act is noted but it is not applicable here.

I cant agree with you on this. Community outreach is a function of K-9 units, they do it all the time. Who wouldnt read this story and smile just a little.
