It Exists: DOJ Finds Letter Ordering Scrutiny of Uranium One, Hillary Clinton
daily beast ^ | 3/9/2019 | Betsy Woodruff

After it claimed no such document existed, the Justice Department just unearthed a letter Matt Whitaker delivered to the Utah U.S. attorney directing a review of how the department handled the Clinton Foundation and the Uranium One issues.

Then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions wrote the letter on Nov. 22, 2017 for Utah U.S. Attorney John Huber. Matt Whitaker, who was Sessions’ chief of staff at the time, emailed the letter to Huber that day, writing, “As we discussed.” He also sent Huber a copy of a letter the Justice Department’s Congressional affairs chief sent to the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee on Nov. 13 of that year.

The existence of a letter documenting Sessions’ directive that the DOJ revisit probes of Trump’s top political foe is a surprise because a department lawyer said in court last year that senior officials insisted it didn’t exist. The liberal nonprofit American Oversight obtained the letter through a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request they filed on Nov. 22, 2017––the same day Whitaker emailed Sessions’ letter to Huber.....

Yes, a very thorough “investigation”.

Absolutely.

But remember, that was back when the derps ran the FBI/DOJ under Obama.

Trump's President now, and the FBI/DOJ is about cleaned out.

So, yea.

It is possible, but not likely that DoJ minions are at the beck and call of 17th letter.

I’ll check back next month and see if any progress has been made from a month ago.

I have a secret pal that says ain’t squat happening in the next 4 weeks.

You?

"Almost 16 months since the letter was written! What’s happened since then?"

Probably got tossed in Huber's circular file. He's been paid 16 months worth of wages for sitting on his hands.

Sessions had a role to play. He feigned incompetence...

See #35. He folded like a cheap lawn chair from day one so a workaround had to be created. He was forced into action.
Who scared him more, The Mule/Deep State or Goodlatte and crowd?
When you're told "we're not the ones who will be going to jail when this is all said and done" who would you work with.

Your "secret pal" isn't so secret any longer.

I so hope that this will play out exactly as you described. And I also hope that Charlie will one day get to kick the football. You do not know how I want to be suprised like I was on election night. I have just decided to quit holding my breath. If indictments happen, I’ll jump for joy and tell you congrats, otherwise I’ll watch my Texas live oaks grow and enjoy life and bass fishing. At least with bass, I will know there is a chance of catching something. (And, yes, I hope I’m dead wrong in this assessment!)

If this entity that applied for information and received the letter through FOIA is non-partisan, why is its head saying this:

The first sentence of the article tells you all you need to know.

After it claimed no such document existed...

Whoever wrote this article, and the "entity" itself, is/was looking for dirt on the good guys. Notice how they try to accuse the DOJ of "lying" about the memo.

They will go after Whitaker now for this. The no leaks "firewall" was being breached with this FOIA request.

This is a derp counter-move. And a very weak one at that.

A DOJ LAWYER told him the memo didn't exist? Oh, how terrible.

“Wow. A letter was written and sent to Huber.”

The rat bastard, Jeff Sessions, did that a lot, too. A way to say, ‘see, I’m doing something by passing it to this guy huber. He’ll do the something I should be doing. Really, he will...Sometime. In the future. Maybe. Stay tuned. Trust the plan’

Which lawyer?
Which court?
Which senior officials?
What month and year?

WHAT SURPRISE?!

Everybody knew...
Prosecutors ask FBI agents for info on Uranium One deal Dec. 21, 2017
On the orders of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Justice Department prosecutors have begun asking FBI agents to explain the evidence they found in a now dormant criminal investigation into a controversial uranium deal that critics have linked to Bill and Hillary Clinton, multiple law enforcement officials told NBC News.

He folded like a cheap lawn chair from day one

Of course he did.

Again, you become President on 01/20/17 and you literally get inaugurated in the middle of a snake's pen. Your DOJ is infested with Deep State mofos.

All of what Sessions did was an act. Tell me, why would Trump nominate Sessions as his AG, then tweetstorm mean things against him, disregarding the fact that Sessions was the first Republican to endorse him and campaigned for him?

Sessions did his job perfectly. He floundered around like a fish out of water, and conservatives laughed at him while liberals started to support him. But he did his job behind the scenes. That is why he is called the Silent Executioner.
