The validity and value of criticism depends not on the decorum or nature of the critic but what was in fact was noted and said. Coulter was not the only critic who wondered how such a biased Democratic bill that astonishgly contained authorization and funding for Democratic pet projects passed a Republican controlled House and Senate and was signed quickly by the President. There were and are many who felt that to “avoid a government shutdown” many voted for that bill without reading what experienced Democratic staffers put in it and the White House staff was equally negligent in not reading it thoroughly. Instead of advising the President to sign it, they should have wrote a clear speech outlining just why it had to be vetoed and Congress would have to reconvene. IMHO Trump wishes he never signed that bill and should have seized the moral high ground and fought. His base supporters expected him to do that. Coulter was not the only Trump supporter to be disappointed. Personally remain a strong supporter and shudder for the nation if any Democrat is elected in 2020. However feel his recent confrontations with Congress have been very poorly thought out and have been politically debilitating tactical failures. He has always had the constitution authority to simply order the Army Corp of Engineers to build a security wall barrier on the southern frontier. Coulter is right. If for whatever reason the wall is not built, he will not be reelected. chaos will follow for the American nation.
Good analysis there! Trump promised us a wall. “A big, beautiful wall.” Not just sections of a wall, but a wall. All of us here know Trump can’t do it alone. But he let 2017 and 2018 slip by. Those were two golden years. So yeah, it’s not all - or even mostly - Trump’s fault. But the buck does stop with him. And in that Coulter is right.
Side note: A couple of paragraph breaks in your post would have been nice.
:)
They are not failures on Trump's part.
He's dealing with a political reality that is entirely out of his control. He must walk a fine line between fulfilling his promises and alienating a Republican Party leadership whose backing he needs to run again in 2020.
That's why he went out of his way to invite Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer to those stupid meetings in the White House in December -- when neither one of them was in a majority leadership position in Congress. Trump knew damn well that he was never going to get the wall funded because Republicans didn't want to fund it. At that point, the only thing for him to do was stage this silly charade and make it look like it's the fault of the Democrats.

I don’t believe for a minute that everybody inside the beltway didn’t what was in that bill.
The stinking piles of garbage bills that appear on President Trump’s desk come from someplace. Yet Coulter seems remarkably incurious about that. The fact is she knows supporting POTUS will not gain her the attention and media appearances that she craves. It’s that simple.
The fundamental issue is that whatever path POTUS takes he will not have the support of his own party. He is playing a weak hand regardless. Witness the near total radio silence from nearly every GOP Senator who will vote to support him on NEA. You would think they would advocate for a GOP POTUS they “support” but NOPE! They leave him bare behind to the wind and give the mavericks all the room they need to support the Democrat party while undermining POTUS.
