I knew Roy Moore was a disaster from the onset and said as much during the primaries. But once he became the party nominee, I kept my mouth shut. At that point we needed him to win because the President needed his vote. Despite his many failures, Moore would've been a solidly conservative Senator.

However, once he lost, I let loose with the "I told you so!" sentiments so hopefully we never repeat this idiocy again.

The one shining star of the Moore debacle was that it ended the political career of Al Franken who, believing Moore would win, took one for the team so as not to be a distraction. It also severely damaged the political ambitions of Kirsten Gillibrand for forcing Franken to fall on his sword.

And in the end, all for nothing.
