Some years ago, our t.v. which was referred to as a Triniton stopped working. So, hubby took it to the local donation place and they were so happy to see it. It seems that the parts of the t.v. were worth more than the whole. They told him that they were always happy to get one of these as they made a lot of money on them. Hubby was surprised.

Do you mean Trinitron?; Sony trademark for a color TV CRT that referred to the special CRT construction that produced superior image.

This followed by their flat screen CRTs, one of which I bought back in the day ...
