Whoopi Goldberg has shared a health update after being absent from The View for just over a month, revealing on Fridays show that shes not dead, but she actually came awfully close.
I am OK. Im not dead, Goldberg said in a taped segment that rolled at the top of Fridays episode. Yes, I came very, very close to leaving the Earth. Good news, I didnt. Thank you for all of your good wishes.

Thats not really true
Poor dental health despite best efforts can be a sign of inflammation which can indicate a high risk of atherosclerosis as well rather than cavities cause heart disease
Plenty of people with rotten teeth and hearts like oxen on wheaties
Think Tibetans or Peruvians or Kenyan runners
Or old women with no teeth on the porch in rural America with snuff spittle on their chin
Not meaning to be argumentative
There are two good vaccines available to protect against bacterial pneumonia.
It's best to get both:
Her brain left this Earth long ago.
Love this new verb...
Smolletting
Good points. No argument from me.
That’s why I put the word ‘may’ in there and only mention it because my MD wife believes it’s true and stresses it to all her patients. So I’ve kind of come around on the issue myself since meeting her. Cheers!
She so ugly, she scared away the Grim Reaper!
Could be why she thanked her audience for their good “wishes”.
Anything to avoid using the word "prayers."
Regards,
Fairly common but we generally don't hear about it until it takes out an elderly person.
I had pneumonia 22 years ago. It was the only time I’ve been seriously ill in my life. I was trying to be a vegetarian at the time and attribute the illness to something missing in my diet that weakened my immunity. Needless to say I am once again an omnivore.
Anyone know whats going on with pneumonia?
My first wife died of pneumonia at the age of 37. That was 18 years ago. It hit her fast and it hit her hard. She was dead 36 hours after diagnosis.

She’s the “brains” behind the Smollet incident. /sarc
Seniors challenging their own age get this result more often than one can imagine. A little slip, twisted ankle, cracked collarbone, scraped shin. Was that 5K walk and run worth it? After a week of inaction and a few hours in the germ pool (aka Hospital ER), more of our elderly die from pneumonia, sepsis, etc. than you would believe.
Was in hospital with pneumonia when I was a child - don’t remember feeling that bad but in the ‘50s, things didn’t always stay embedded enough to be in my mind today....
You probably know a number of folks who have had pneumonia - a lot of the extra congestion and not feeling right during Flu season is milder cases of pneumonia...that’s one of the reasons to use something like Mucinex when you feel something coming on - work to clear the lungs before they clog up.
Close only counts in Horseshoes and hand grenades
“I came very, very close to leaving the Earth’’. Missed it by that much.
Last year, at 59 I caught a 5 week long cold that ended with pneumonia. I didn’t feel particularly bad but the flock of hoot owl noises I made with every breath was amazing. It sounded like hundreds of them.
i was kinda rooting for the pneumonia.
