You had some kind of problem with “the wound was cleaned and sutured at home.” I don’t see what the problem is. Do you have some secret Gnostic knowledge regarding the author’s “true, hidden point” that he failed to make explicitly? But you “know where he’s going with that,” right?
They have a sterile suture kit at home? And the know-how on how to properly clean and suture a wound to prevent complications?

No one sutures wounds at home and if family protective services isn’t on this case with their useless overworked investigators I’d be surprised but that’s missing in this story
