I remember seeing him in Damnation Alley with George Peppard. I was very disappointed in it because it strayed too far from the original book by Roger Zelazny which I thought, and still do, would make a great Post-apocalyptic film if handled right. He wasn't terrible in it as I recall. I also remember driving through LA in 78 or so and seeing the vehicle from the film sitting in a scrapyard. If I had not seen the movie I would never have known what it was.

Bit of trivia. Kay Lenz was married to David Cassidy at one time.

Your father was wrong.

The Marine Corps drafted from 1966 to 1970. I was in boot camp in February 1970 when the announcement was made. Some of the recruits in my platoon were among the last to be drafted into the Corps.

The mechanic was a good movie.

Jan Michael Vincent was gorgeous so hot back in the day. My long time boyfriend in the 70s could have been his twin (Swedish American background).

It wasn’t a scrapyard. It was a custom auto shop, I think the one that built it.

Please post the photo of him in a swim suit holding surf board. I’m drooling on my phone.
