A firefight in a war is (in my book) morally justified.

I think all killing is regrettable, but some are immoral.

Another thought on Snowden:

I’ve always wanted to believe that he was a good guy (no idea why, just a gut feeling), but the chips will fall where they may when the truth is out.

What better cover for him than him being a DS operative. And perhaps he had to flee in order to avoid DS retaliation. Even among the DS, I would NOT expect everyone to know Snowden’s real DS role or supposed DS role. So much of the DS may be just as confused as we are.

Could it be.....that Snowden led the good guys to the HRC backup servers in China?

And what about Kissinger? He met with POTUS. So did Mueller. Both good guys? Both leveraged? Kissinger also met with Reagan, though not in his cabinet. Kissinger was instrumental in opening China. He’s Jewish. (Israel last) Could HK be a good guy playing a VERY LONG game? IDK anything about the Crimean situation, but HK has flip-flopped on that - at least publicly. Cover for POTUS?

Future history books are going to be SO INTERESTING! And complex. They are going to make most spy novels look boring. The number of plot twists is mind-boggling.

Killing unlawful combatants is part of war. They have and deserve zero consideration.
