Yes, Bruce Ohr seems to be a cover story for how the dossier came to the FBI and DOJ—a plausible explanation that attempts to shield Obama and all the other political-path people who were actually behind it all.
I would add that, in his ENTIRE TESTIMONY, Ohr did not dis Trump a single time (unlike Strzok, Comey, McCabe etc.). It seems he took Christopher Steele, who contacted him, at face value ... and this caused him do what he had always done in similar situations, and pass on the potentially alarming “Source information” to the FBI.
To me, he comes across as gullible. If his wife is C_A, she may have been involved in manipulating him.

Thanks so much for looking at #1974! I really also like what you posted above. I agree completely that he is/was gullible an that Nellie was possibly his handler/ manipulator. And I heard it speculated on during the time of his testimony, that he was trying to save her.

I found it interesting that when Bruce Ohr was initially contacted by Chris Steele to meet for lunch and discuss the info Steele was peddling, Nellie Ohr was present. And apparently it was Steele who suggested she attend.
So that would lend credence to the possibility that they were both involved in manipulating him.
There was a 4th person there as well, whom Ohr thought was a subordinate of Steele.
