True - you can save more $$$ doing your homework and shopping around.
But, if you need to pick up some things quickly, Dollar Tree is more like a convenience store - with better prices than other convenience stores (at least around here).

I save money by spending more on things.
I know that sounds illogical.

The quality and quantity just isn't there.
I'm not going to spend $1 ($1.06 actually) for 7 trash bags that will break in half when I can a whole roll of 40 for just $2.50.
Besides these stores are packed with Somalis and other refugees

I have never seen a convenience store with better day-to-day prices than the big three labels - Dollar Tree, Dollar General and Family Dollar. That’s why I own stock in both - they are slowly killing off mom-and-pop dollar stores and convenience stores and squeezing CVS, Walgreens and mom-and-pop pharmacy profits, as well as gas station convenience stores. And there are over a hundred thousand of these businesses to steal customers from.

Yeah, often the same item is a dollar at dollar tree and three dollars at walmart. I avoid the obvious smaller packaging scams. We go there on the way to the beach and everybody picks one treat. Works great.
