:: we’d have to guess these remains are bound for the bottom of the lake once springtime melts the ice. ::
In Michigan, once that vehicle hits the water after ice-out, you get a hefty fine from the DEQ and are court ordered to remove it at your own cost.
Marine salvage ain’t cheap.
As many idiots who drive their Rams on northern Lake St. Claire will attest to. You can’t leave your junk on the bottom of the lake.
This lake is under jurisdiction of the Coast Guard, and the owner does have to get it off the ice. Someone who can afford this Tesla won’t have a problem paying for removal and cleanup.
I’d like to hear the conversation concerning the insurance claim.
Good. I was also thinking about the chemicals polluting the lake. I hope they fine the pants off this Bernie Sanders loving socialist fraud. Even jail time is good too.
Ya, but a couple of cases of beer, 4 Fords with 4x4, and a few slightly tipsy but very happy (hey, they get free beer and they are helping the community...what's the loss?)buddies, a warm Saturday when the salmon winds are blowing...Piece of cake.
Marine salvage aint cheap.
You got that right and the insurance companies will not cover the vehicle.........
I remember a number of years ago where some kid here in Macomb County decided to access Lake St. Clair via the Selfridge ANG base boat ramp and once he got out on the lake, the van promptly broke thru the ice. The dumbass kid tried to explain to his parents that the van was stolen.........LOL!
