When seven-year-old Ethan Hauschultz died last April from hypothermia and blunt force trauma to the head, chest, and abdomen, authorities had some pressing questions.
The nearly year-long investigation into the young Wisconsin boys suspicious cause of death has now been traced back to his court-appointed parents, Timothy and Tina Hauschultz, and their 15-year-old son, Damian.
According to FOX 11, Ethan was ordered to haul a 44-pound log for two hours per day for a one-week period. Tragically, the cause of Ethans punishment was for not knowing 13 Bible verses to Timothys satisfaction.
The reckless behavior of the two adults, alongside their teenage son, has now officially been found to be criminal. All three are expected to make their first court appearances in Manitowoc County court today.
Timothy is charged with felony murder and felony contributing to the delinquency of a child, and four other charges. Tina is charged with failing to prevent bodily harm and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child, while their son Damian is charged with first-degree reckless homicide, and six additional charges.
Damian told police that his father picked out the logs for Ethan and that he was ordered by his father to make sure the boy completed his daily punishment. Though Damian is not yet of age, juveniles in Wisconsin charged with certain homicides are processed in adult court.
Ethan had been performing punishment ordered by Timothy which required Ethan to carry a heavy wooden log, weighing approximately two-thirds his body weight, while being monitored by Timothys 15-year-old son, the Manitowoc County Sheriffs Office said.
While it would seem as though Damian, only a 15-year-old child himself, couldve been coerced into the dangerous, negligent behavior of his, investigators found evidence to the contrary.
The teenager allegedly kicked and struck Ethan around 100 times, sometimes using a stick or belt. He even stood on the boys chest while his face was in a puddle, and buried him in snow for more than 20 minutes without a coat or boots on. This would explain the signs of blunt force trauma on the boys body, with hypothermia being the ultimate cause of death.
Damian told police that he didnt do anything that would have hurt Ethan, yet admitted to the above series of events and described covering Ethan in his own little coffin of snow.
Timothy, meanwhile, explained to investigators that carrying the heavy log was meant to instill discipline. He also said that he wasnt home when Ethan died. Damian allegedly called his father several times when he realized Ethan was no longer moving.
Tina has yet to make any substantial statements in this case, with Mondays court hearing likely to clarify her role in the matter. One of Ethans siblings told police that she was well aware of Timothys grueling punishment methods which certainly substantiates charges alleging failure of preventing bodily harm and intentionally contributing to the delinquency of a child.
After learning about the tragic death of Ethan Hauschultz, read about the parents who starved their son to death as part of a 40-day religious fast. Then, learn about a sick Minnesota boy who died when his parents chose prayer over medical attention.
Yeah, but if she was getting the crap beat out of her as well, she was probably terrified of speaking up.
Parents forgot “thou shalt not kill”.
It continued over the course of at least a week and so the foster parents were well aware of what was going on.
This death is a terrible tragedy.
But when reading the article, I’m guessing the real enemy the MSM wants to focus on here is Christianity because Bible versus come into the picture.
I disagree, his court-appointed parents are responsible. Just how in the hubs of Holy Hell did such monsters ever get appointed as parents? Look at the picture of the woman, she does not even look normal.
The village is the problem, not the Bible.
“Court Appointed Parents”
Something tells me this boys life had a lot more tragedy in it than just these 2.... My guess you will find failures throughout this boys past by the system....
You want your kids to grow up knowledgeable about Scripture, but you don't want then to hate it by associating Bible memory with punishment.
God's prescription of teaching Scripture....
Deuteronomy 6:4-9Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart.
You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
They nearly lost me with all that, it was a very strict school. I did rebel well into my 30’s but something kept holding me back from really going down that path. As I said I still have issues with certain types of Baptist to this day, but don’t really hold a grudge I just disagree strongly with some of their beliefs and behaviors. Other Baptists are fine by me, half my family is or was, just not that particular denomination.
Saw photo of damien looks weird too. mom name is Andrea Everett. There was abuse by her, a dad, boyfriend and another unnamed person. In the article she said Ethan died while under the care of his uncle Ethan and Timothy share same last. Damien said house was a prison no fun when kids moved in.
No fine line. That is b.s.. You don’t hurt your kids in God’s name. Better to be an atheist.
The 14 year old (at the time) covered him with 80 lbs. of snow and he laughed about it. See video and how he towers above the officer.

Man, I would just love to wipe that smirk off that boys face.
I wonder if hed think it was so funny if it happened to him.
Saint Damian, titled a Father of the Church (11th century) also was a man well-known for abhorring sodomy, and wrote "The Book of Gomorrah" about abominations committed by unchaste clergy. Somewhat in the news lately.
Those two don’t look to be too well versed in 11th century church history. It was the pop culture Damian.
I have no doubt that you are right.
Send all three on the next Tesla convertible into space
(1) Was this boy was tortured and murdered for BEING Christian
(2) Were the "13 Bible verses" actually a form of mockery of his stated Christian beliefs
(3) Why was Ethan and his twin brother removed from their natural home and placed with these psychopaths? Who was the judge? What were the case details? Did these people have prior experience as foster parents?
Father Damien worked with lepers in Hawaii.
How tragic.
How did they manipulate this specific story?
