He definitely had something seriously wrong, lurking underneath the surface. I’m surprised his dr didn’t catch and get him on meds/or refer him to a cardiologist.

A very good friend of mine just had a stroke in his 50s. He’s recovering well, thankfully. The doctors have no idea what caused it, every test shows all his systems to be in peak condition. Sometimes it just can’t be prevented.

Not necessarily - it sounds like a hemorrhagic stroke (burst blood vessel) which can be caused by high blood pressure but also by genetic weakness, impact damage (he did a lot of stunts) or just dumb luck as your arteries harden over time.

Just staying in the numbers helps your odds - doesn’t make you immune.
