India is RUSSIA's ally. China and the US use the Paks to try to balance Russian influence in the Indian Ocean through India. The US has no friends in the region.
That is why we help Pakistan and China. When have we helped our Allies?

The Paks used to be our ally but after the Bin Laden issue that seems to not be the case. GWB seemed to be courting the Indians during his tenure and Obama, well I don’t know what that damned fool was doing aside from weakening us across the board.
A couple of things, I would be ready to send in a military team to seize the Paks nukes if they appear to be going full islamofacsist. I would but their aid off as they have been supporting the Taliban since the war started in 2001 and I would be courting the Indians as a huge buffer against the Chicoms. They are the only country that comes close to offsetting the numerical superiority of the Chicoms.
Getting themselves embarrassed by this shoot down might get some US arms sales to the Indians and more influence. Flying the Mig-21 against an F16 would be like racing a high performance 2019 Chevy Camaro against a 1974 Ford Pinto.
