"While one community struggles to ease tensions that threaten to divide from within, the true nature of another group comes into focus. A mission to rescue a friend has deadly consequences."
Please let me know if you'd like on or off The Walking Dead ping list.
The young Henry storyline is pretty stupid.
Making one stupid decision after the other.
CJ, I stopped watching mid-way through last season. The comic book introduction of the Motor-mouthed SJW didnt help. Ive heard this season has been better, not sure if I trust their opinions. It looks like IMDb scores reflect that also. Wondering what other fans of TWD think. Worth jumping back in Season 9? Any need to catch up Season 8? Thanks.
It was Carl making those stupid decisions in the comics. Someone had to take that role I guess.
Im getting a little tired of similar story lines and situations. Im close to being done. I truly need this to be finished. Either they find real life out there in a normal setting or...
Yeah lots of new characters. The old characters have become stale. Even Dale has gone flat. I’ve missed tonight and last week. Never done that since the beginning. Perhaps it’s time to write the final chapter on the story.
Well I enjoyed watching tonight. It strikes me as strange anyone would come to a watchers thread just to say they don’t want to watch. Laf.
I was wondering what the young actor who plays Henry
thinks about the fact that several episodes are built
around the stupidity of his character. Might he fear
that he could be typecast as a village idiot?

Carl was like that early on. Constantly running off.
Not liking this new group and story line.
I gave up on it sometime last year. Mrs WBill still watches, though, and I catch a little bit on the periphery.
They've killed off most of the original characters. As the actors leave, it seems that they're writing other characters into their comic book roles - see above comments re: Carl/Henry. The current big bad guys - the Whisperers - aren't as big or bad as I remember them from the comics. They started out with a bang, and have quickly tapered off.
I'm half interested in seeing what the Commonwealth looks like. Also, when they removed Rick, the producer of the show hinted at movies or mini-series ... that might be interesting. 2-4 hours of action, rather than 2 minutes with 58 minutes of commercials and filler.
Largely, the series as it stands right now is a big "Meh", as far as I'm concerned. Lots of posing. Overly dramatic exposition. It's turned into a daytime soap, only with less pretty characters, and more zombies. You could probably find better things to do with your time than binge-watch Seasons 8 and 9.

Well, that’s young ‘love’ right there.
I agree with you. At this point I’m really only interested in what happened to Rick because that story line gives us a glimpse of life outside of what we are seeing now.
Another poster mentioned that Carl would have played that storyline
had he not been killed off.
However Carl was older and much more mature.
Cant see him playing that stupid storyline.
Laf. Yes,love can make a young person do really stupid things.
I want to get back to Negan returning to Alexandria with Judith.
Yep. Only two remain.

And, not so young (myself), to be fair and honest.
