I love Irish Soda bread with cranberries and almonds. Like you I lost my recipe and so far the ones I have tried are sub-par.

The recipes on line, are basically two types -— those with some butter and/or egg in them, and those with neither. I made the one with neither, tonight. It was NOT good. I may have used self-rising flour, last time, but I can’t remember, and I don’t know why I would have, since it’s soda bread, but it was nice and light, and tonight’s was heavy and tasteless.
