I don’t have hockey stats but it certainly is super rare.
In my more recent hockey fan-dom, I would guess that the Lightning are clutching stuffed animals and rewatching the 1st round playoffs of the Kings in 2012 when they were down 3-0 but still won Lord’s Stanley Cup.

It should go strictly by votes, in my opinion. If that means it's all guys in the top ten, or not diverse enough, or whatever, so be it. Let the chips fall where they may. Letting the judges save three means someone with more votes goes home, while a judge's pick stays--and is probably next to be voted off, anyway. I think the whole reason for the judges' saves is to make sure the top ten is diverse enough. That's today's goofy world.
