It seems De Niro, Pacino, Pesci, and Scorsese have a movie coming out in the Fall of 2019 on the killing of Jimmy Hoffa.
The last time these guys worked on a film was "Casino" in 1995. Although Al Pacino was not in that film.
I was astounded to read that the original budget was $125 Million and has sense gone to $175 Million and this isn't a action or comic book film. How can that kind of money be spent on a film about Hoffa being killed when there have been two previous films done on this by Sylvester Stallone and Jack Nicholson.
Someone at some studio must have been out of their minds to Greenlight a film like this with that kind of budget. I just don't see the attraction.
DeNiro, Pacino and Pesci are pretty long in the tooth trying to do a film like this. Given DeNiro and his politics he has already blown off half the audience for this already.
I doubt I will see this and I can't see anything but a Box Office Failure for this film with that kind of budget. They would have gross about $400 Million just to break even.
Well looks this is the Swan Song for De Niro and Pacino, a disaster waiting to happen.
I wouldn’t care if De Niro was the world’s greatest actor and this was the world’s greatest movie. Not one thin dime of my money is going to end up in that dick’s pocket.
The insanely pricey project will spend much of its budget de-aging the actors to show their characters at various ages.
CGI on every frame is expensive.
When an item in the news doesn't seem to make a lot of sense it probably makes a lot of money. For somebody.
Get rid of De Niro and I might buy a ticket.
Otherwise, Ill pass.
I won’t watch anything anymore with De Niro.
Pacino and Pesci I don’t know anything about. I just watched “My Cousin Vinny”! What a hoot!
And one of my all time favorite movie scenes from any movie is the Tango scene in “Scent of A Woman”.
You can’t pay me enough to watch DeNiro.
Just an FYI for everyone, The Irishman is a Netflix movie. I have seen talk that it may get a limited theatre run for award consideration but this one will be streaming otherwise.
if this movie approaches the greatness of “Goodfellas”, it’ll make a huge fortune. i haven’t been to a theater in many years because everything being made is utter dreck, but I’ve been waiting for this one with bated breath ... it’s based on an excellent autobiography called “You Paint Houses, Don’t You”, by Frank Sheeran, an irish hitter for the italian mob ...
Won’t get any royalty money from me ... just a bunch of Progressive turds.
I’m not watching anything with A**hole De Niro in it.

...but we DONT want the IRISH!

_____________
....... agreed.
Save the money and watch Hoffa with Jack Nicholson

I have no interest in any of them.
If ony DeNiro weren't in it as the title character, I might want to see it. The cast and crew of thousands contains apparently every Italian-American male actor alive today. And probably a few who are dead.
It's a sin that in the U.S. media, the magnificent Italian culture is characterized mainly in terms of the small minority who are of the underworld.
They could call it The Walking Dead To Me.
