SACRAMENTO, Calif. A mountain lion was recently spotted on video from a doorbell camera in northern California over the weekend.
The big cat was spotted Sunday morning in Natomas, a small neighborhood just north of Sacramento.
Police warned everyone in the neighborhood to stay inside as they tracked it down.
The 100-lb mountain lion roamed from backyard to backyard before officials were finally able to tranquilize it.
The wildlife team took the cat and will release it back into the wild.
Thankfully, no injuries were reported.

No coyote packs sighted in this suburban neighborhood - usually singles or pairs.
Strange how officials can find a big kitty in CA but they can’t find illegals.

Victor Mature and a really fat tame lion.
They had one caught on a doorbell camera close to where my son lives about a month ago. It seems like the things are everywhere lately.
And actually uses a FLASH on one of the pics!! As if the cat wouldn’t have been freaked out enough after the door is opened and he sees a person standing there staring at him.
...cat was probably sleeping and drowsy at the time.
Sorry, here’s a link. A looong one. Working on a tiny smartphone now. Not easy. I’ll find and post the original link tomorrow.

A young mountain lion that was strangled last month by a Colorado jogger the animal attacked was a 4-month-old orphan, state wildlife officials have revealed.
According to a necropsy, the young male had weighed an estimated 35 or 40 pounds. The inexperienced hunter may have been desperate for prey when he pounced on 31-year-old Travis Kauffman on a scenic trail in Fort Collins.
The mountain lions body, which had been partially eaten, likely by his two orphaned siblings, was recovered Feb. 4, the day of the attack.
Officials saw no trace of a mother, according to the necropsy by Colorado Parks and Wildlife veterinarians, which referred to the dead male as a kitten, though young mountain lions are usually called cubs. ...
