When a republican is at bat and crowds the plate, the democrat has no problem head hunting. Even when the republican backs off the plate, the rat will again throw one high and inside to make sure his message is heard.
When a democrat is at bat and crowds the plate, the republican will try to avoid hitting the democrat, so much to say he will give the rat a free pass rather than pitch inside to him. And if he tries to go inside, the rat will find a way to step in and get hit by the pitch, effectively taking one for the team.
