Black Panther proved they can make a ton of money and still be ignored. Nobody who has ever seen a movie in their life thought it actually deserved a Best Picture nomination. That didn’t mean they couldn’t ignore the SJWs and enjoy it like any other decent superhero movie.

That’s just the problem.

Hollywood, when it’s not force-feeding viewers leftist propaganda, can’t seem to get much more creative inspiration than the nearest comic book. Then they churn out some movie with bright colors and loud sounds, like the stuff you dangle over a baby’s crib. Then they remake their pablum. Then remake the re-make. Then they hold awards ceremonies where they spout MORE leftist propaganda, pat themselves on their backs for their creative brilliance, and lecture all of us - before heading off to one of their multi-million dollar estates, or go off hunting for some starlet to ... ahem, introduce to the business.

I wouldn’t give these vermin a DIME to support their “industry.”

A Batman movie is “rated” on IMDB as the third best movie OF ALL TIME.

Ratings are crap. Populist opinion can be faked.

I ended up watching Black Panther on Netflix, and while I did surprisingly end up enjoying it overall for the comic book movie that it was, Michael B. Jordan’s performance made a mockery of the entire affair IMO. He ghettoed it up to the point of ridiculous, and the movie itself is so far away from anything that is worthy of a traditional Oscar.

But I have to qualify with the word traditional, because maybe Black Panther is worth an Oscar of today, because an Oscar of today is trash. All it is is an award for who virtue signaled the loudest, and it has nothing to do with the art of film making.
