About a week and a half ago there was a female redwing blackbird at my bird feeder here in S.E. Michigan. First time I’ve ever seen one so early in the year, typically they don’t start arriving until late march and early April.....

I haven't seen any redwings yet down here. They don't usually show up here at my feeders till about late March or early April, followed by the dreaded Starlings and Purple Grackles who quickly empty out the feeders.

I did see a bunch of Robins about 3 weeks ago, about the earliest I've ever seen those guys here.

Prettiest bird that ever visits my feeders is the male Painted Bunting. Can never get a picture of one, they're extremely wary and nervous. I may have to set up a motion activated system to finally snap one.
