KTLA anchor and reporter Chris Burrous was found to have died from methamphetamine toxicity, according to a Los Angeles county coroner's report released Friday.
Burrous, who was 43, died on the afternoon of Dec. 27 after being found unresponsive at a Days Inn in Glendale with a male companion, according to authorities.
The Glendale Police Department initially said they were investigating Burrous' death as a suspected overdose.
Other contributing factor to his death, according to the coroner's office, included hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
His death was ruled an accident.
Burrous, who first joined KTLA in 2011, was a beloved figured at the station, anchoring the KTLA 5 Weekend Morning News and reporting on weekdays. His Burrous' Bites segment, where he showcased hidden foodie gems across the Southland, was a popular fixture on the program.
Burrous is survived by his wife Mai and 9-year-old daughter Isabella.
He was laid to rest on Jan. 11, what would have been his 44th birthday.
Searched for his image. Wow. He looked so normal. It creeps me out how someone can live such a depraved hidden life. I guess many do. Disgusting.

One of the first things I learned when I moved to SoCal - always presume someone is screwed up, until they prove otherwise. Where I came from, it was the other way around, folks got the benefit of the doubt. Didn’t get burned too much, after I figured it out . . .

We learned to be uncomfortable if a car came alongside and matched our speed. Either speed up or slow down. I’m still like that today. Just as I am uncomfortable under freeway underpasses following the Loma Prieta quake in NorCal.

Need to ask ole Cong. Adam Schiff (D-WeHo) chair of the House Intel committee and buddy to the black teen killer multimillionaire pedophile democrat fundraiser, caught recently with a second dead drug overdosed black “teen” male he “solicited” (they call them sex workers in the papers out there!) in his condo. And him thinking this will all go away with no charges, when he is the one who injects these gay boy toys with different drugs (documented).
Adam Schiff will hopefully be outed for his peculiar proclivities, or at the very least indicted for leaking Top Security information to the Press. The media pals who do meth and gay bang have given their total support to Schiffty.
Back when I was in college, I took a bunch of anthropology courses—I know, useless in later life, but interesting as hell. Anyway there was one tribe, on New Guinea, I think, that said you should be careful who you are with, because you could end up dying with them around. Even though they likely worshiped airplanes and built fake landing strips, they maybe had more wisdom than this guy.

For a while, when traffic came to a stop, on the freeway, I wouldn’t go underneath the overpass, until I could clear the other side. Didn’t care what the guy behind me thought. Haven’t commuted on the freeway in 18 years, so the feeling kind of wore off. Remember the guy that was trapped in his car for a day or so, in the pancaked rubble ? Had the same car - Chevy Sprint. Made quite an impression on me.
The report on Smoking Gun has additional gruesome details, even beyond the meth-in-the-anus bit. The promiscuous gay lifestyle is truly horrifying to normal people.
