KTLA anchor and reporter Chris Burrous was found to have died from methamphetamine toxicity, according to a Los Angeles county coroner's report released Friday.
Burrous, who was 43, died on the afternoon of Dec. 27 after being found unresponsive at a Days Inn in Glendale with a male companion, according to authorities.
The Glendale Police Department initially said they were investigating Burrous' death as a suspected overdose.
Other contributing factor to his death, according to the coroner's office, included hypertensive and atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease.
His death was ruled an accident.
Burrous, who first joined KTLA in 2011, was a beloved figured at the station, anchoring the KTLA 5 Weekend Morning News and reporting on weekdays. His Burrous' Bites segment, where he showcased hidden foodie gems across the Southland, was a popular fixture on the program.
Burrous is survived by his wife Mai and 9-year-old daughter Isabella.
He was laid to rest on Jan. 11, what would have been his 44th birthday.
Get a tutor for the child, finish the school year at home. Move far away from KTLAs coverage area at least 2,000 miles. Stay for nine years, until college age. Goes by pretty quick. Best plan possible for the poor, blameless child.
Sad and tragic. Everybody loses.
If he was a real celebrity he would have gotten the “flu like symptoms” treatment, like Prince when he OD.
What. In. The. Hell??!
“......he had some class!”
Yeah, the kids stay free there. But you don’t dare take them.

LOL! Sorry! Maybe Days In will send a Floral Arrangement?
I wonder if motels set aside funds for that, you know, when their seedier customers cash it in?
*SNORT*
Yes, I am rather merciless. I was married to an addict for WAY TOO LONG. No quarter, ever again. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes! See ya!
From this Daily News article :
"According to the coroners report, Burrous had inserted the drug into his anus and put on a bondage mask laced with amyl nitrate poppers during a sexual encounter with a man he met on the Grindr dating website."
What a lovely image to leave his wife and daughter with!
Now, when ranking Burrous to David Carradine, one still has to score Carradine higher (lower?):
1. Carradine was a nationally-recognized D-List actor who got a role a legend (Bruce Lee) deserved; and
2. "autoerotic asphyxiation" is more tight and succinct than "meth in the ass & bopper bondage mask while doing the 'Rumpy-Rumpy'".
“Burrous, who was 43, died on the afternoon of Dec. 27 after being found unresponsive at a Days Inn in Glendale with a male companion, according to authorities.”

Fake News, maybe?
Thanks for clearing that up. GAWD!
As I said in another post, I was married WAY TOO LONG to an addict. They think of nothing and NO ONE BUT THEMSELVES.
No one. No one matters but the next fix - drugs or sex or both, in this case.
Actually, I'm kind-of sad I cleared that up. Gads, what an image, what a way to go.

“after being found unresponsive at a Days Inn in Glendale with a male companion”
Looks like he is survived by more than just his wife and daughter. What a legacy for Isabella.
It’s not surprising his former employer (KTLA) failed to mention (ignored) the most salacious details.
Hey, he lived longer than Elvis.
C’mon man, that’s not weird or creepy or anything. Could happen to ANYBODY. Sheesh.
Well at least we now know that he was doing meth accidentally... Darwin smiles...
His wife should probably get an HIV test.
This is how AIDS gets into the straight population. Guys like Burros get it on with all their kinky gay buttsex and then spread it to their wives who had no idea they were playing for team poopdick.
Although he didn’t die with his boots on, he stroked out doing what he loved.
My understanding there was no mention of “lover” .... that would be odd reporting even if it was a female companion.
RIP
