I clicked a couple spoiler-free reviews of the first two episodes, and the consensus seems to be "meh". The first episode, titled The Comedian, is about a comedian who "will do ANYTHING For A Laugh". Reviewers say the episode was decent but the main problem is the running time was an hour, which made the episode drag and people lose interest. Traditional Twilight Zone story segments are 30 minutes tops, though they did experiment with hour long episodes during the original Serling Twilight Zone's fourth season.
The second episode, "Nightmare at 30,000 Feet", is a "remake" in name only. There's a guy (played by Adam Scott) taking a plane trip, otherwise everything unfolds differently. One critic said the episode "is not even a reimagining of the original story". Not sure what that means, but it sounds like they just used the title of a "classic" episode for marketing purposes. And people though the ending (again, I read SPOILER FREE reviews, so I have no idea what the ending was) to be a disappointment. I'll read up on some additional reviews of later episodes before I decide whether the series is worth checking out.
At least from the first two episodes there doesn't seem to be any SJW agenda, but I'd expect better from Jordan Peele.
Hmmm. I wonder if the whole show is like how the opening credits are. Just watched the credits sequence. The 2019 opening was underwhelming for me and just came across as a half-assed attempt to copy the 1950s opening with modern special effects. For comparison:

That sounds like a rip-off of a Rod Serling-penned 1971 "Night Gallery" episode ("Make Me Laugh") featuring the late, great Godfrey Cambridge. I just saw it recently.
