They say he does not deserve a place on the show after allegedly lying to the world
Others are standing by him and believe his claim that he is innocent
Gabby Sidibe, one of Smollett's closest friends, deleted her supportive Instagram post on Thursday night
A day earlier, she had written: 'I know him, I believe him, I stand with him'
Prosecutors say they have a mountain of evidence which proves it was a hoax
Smollett's legal team has condemned their handling of the case and the police investigation into it

The cast of Empire is divided over Jussie Smollett's arrest, with some standing by the actor and believing his innocence while others want him to be fired.
Smollett went straight to the Cinespace studio on Thursday after being released on a $10,000 bond.
He reportedly pleaded with his colleagues to believe that he did not pay two Nigerian brothers to attack him in a staged hate crime so that he could get a raise, as is alleged by police.
Some of the stars are 'f*****g furious' about the allegations and believe he should be fired for bringing shame to the entire production, according to TMZ.

Rosanne, Trump Supporter, is not only the main character on the Rosanne Show, SHE IS THE SHOW. Makes a stupid, insensitive comment, apologizes and is fired.
Jessie, Trump hater, minor character on the show Empire, mountains of evidence that he staged a race hoax, does not apologize and is not fired.

Another publication authored by Harris is an essay that was published in the 2006 book, The Covenant With Black America. The essay is titled Fostering Accountable Community-Centered Policing.

Didn't the Nigerian brothers *work* on the series? There couldn't have been any doubt among the castmates that the whole thing was a hoax, and even they must have realized it from very near the beginning, right after the "attackers" were identified.

So much for being fully committed behind him.
And their statement that Smollet paid them to do it plus a cleared check for $3,500. He’ll have a hard time convincing a jury that the check was for his share of beer and pizza.
I see now Smollet is not blaming it on the drugs.
A few months in Rehab, and he’s all good, and all will be forgiven.
Fox will drop him. It’s real easy for them to stand behind their guy when things are vague and awaiting trial. With two confessed conspirators and a check for $3500, that changes all kinds of things. The vid of them at the hardware store is not good, either.

My sweet wonderful Christian black friend was near me.
When she heard not guilty she started praising Jesus.
And stupid me was shocked.
