I might be late to the party on this one, but has anyone tried the free Telegram messenger apps yet? My wife and I have been checking it out and it is slicker than snot, and cooler than southern icebergs. lol
The coolest thing is how easy and slick it works. You can use it from a PC desktop to text phones. It's already encrypted but you can go into a private mode where it is direct end to end encrypted with no stops in between.
You can send any file up to 1.5 gig and set up groups. I can see this being a great tool for those who use a computer online but would rather not use a smart phone or text on their phone. And it works on all plahttps://telegram.org/faqtforms and OS systems. I'm using it on Linux now.
If you haven't heard of it go check it out!

It works great... Grandma and I are messaging and sending videos and pictures back and forth with the Grandkids right now. Just made a phone call using it and it was very clear.

We have been using it with family for some time now.

I use it all the time and it just works. My HONEST FORMER CNN journalist niece turned me on to it!

Russian boys out of St. Pete headquartered in Dubai? 🤔

It would be handy if it would import your contacts rather than making you invite all of them to download the app.

My friend who is a network engineer in the EU says he’s very familiar with it, as it’s the favorite way for terrorists to communicate. “Using it gets you free entry onto the “watch list”.
YMMV.

Using it gets you free entry onto the watch list.
Hardly. Encrypted communication only gets you on the monitor list. Big difference.

I do not use 99.99% of the possible “Apps” on my cell phone. I only occasionally, very occasionally use the Firefox Internet browser, at that’s it.
This came up somewhere here on FreeRep earlier today:

You can very sure if political campaigns are aware of using these tracking methods that the entire personal data tracking database accumulator industry is doing it all the time as well.
When it comes to ANYTHING “free” on cell phones, YOU - your identity - are the commodity being sold, accumulated, bartered over, and used.

Thank you Bigbob... This is exactly why I posted this. I am all open for all input and thoughts. It is apparent you went and took a little extra time and effort to dig deeper into this and I respect you for taking our backs and looking out for us. And the situation absolutely sucks, here is why... This thing works very well and we have to be discouraged from using it because if we don't let them dig through our underwear drawer and everything we do we are assumed to be terrorists. I am so sick of the assumption that "just plain old innocent citizens have the right to privacy also" is taboo and we must be hiding something. Way I look at it... Even more reason it should be flooded with normal folks who have absolutely nothing to hide. Maybe then we might get back just a little bit of privacy and dignity from these psyops that we have lost. Dilute the total content percentage with innocence. I am so tired of society telling me that I should fear the very government that WORKS FOR ME. The terrorists have won this war when we give up every God given individual right in fear and control of our own government. I can tell you this with confidence. I bet 25%-50% of everyone coming to this site are on the watch list already. During the Obama era it was Republican + Conservative + Christian + Rural + Prepper + Pro-life + Etc. they were adding to the "Domestic Terrorist" list and are still there. I know I am already... Had to talk to them a couple times personally already and do not fear them and their bully crap one bit, I have done nothing wrong, And if wanting to exercise my Constitutional right to privacy is now looked down on by society then they can all take a hike. If we don't stand up to it at some point we are going to lose all of it. They are manipulating and controlling us using fear and I am sick of it. Tell you what I think about this particular messenger service app. I think it was designed and built by the United States DOD, the CIA, or an intelligence contractor like Booz Allen Hamilton. Just like the TOR browser was. And I am going to give them a little benefit of the doubt and hope that they are smart enough to distinguish the difference between a terrorist and a Granddaughter sending her Grandpa a funny pig GIF before they put them "on a list"... We should NEVER allow ourselves to be discouraged from using something that actually does indeed work to protect our constitutional right to privacy... Ever... Flood the damned thing with honest people so this stigma and guilt by association goes away... The only terrorism happening here is messing with this pig! Hope they enjoy it! lol

I had this paragraphed correctly... Don’t know what happened here... Had something to do with when I embedded the GIF...
To: Openurmind
Now I know what’s wrong.
You can omit HTML altogether, or you must put HTML everywhere.
Once you include the image tag, you must put < p> after each of your paragraphs.
If you didn’t have the image tag you wouldn’t need the < p> tags.

Did you set your paragraphs up with the < p > (remove spaces) code or just line breaks?
Your img code is correct but I suspect you didn’t use paragraph codes.
